This program introduces the practices necessary to be a Code Enforcement Official for local government, including issuing permits, performing inspections, records and paperwork, enforcement actions and legal recourse. To provide perspective, a short history of the laws and regulations enacted to create a uniform statewide approach to code enforcement is included. This course is designed to provide 21 hours of classroom training, including a 1.5 hour final exam.
