This seminiar provides an overview of the NY State
Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) requirements and
prepares communities to intgegrate SEQRA into the BOA process and to use it to make appropriate
planning and development decisions. Communities
participating in the BOA programs must comply with SEQRA
to determine whether a proposed action may have a
significant adverse impact on the environment.
Understanding the SEQRA requirements, their integration into
and timing in the planning process, and the community’s
responsibilities are critical to successful completion and
approval of the BOA Plan. |
