| Complete and sign the Federal Consistency Assessment Form (FCAF). (Applicants in New York City may submit a NYC CAF
in lieu of an FCAF). The coastal boundary map is
available to help you complete Section C of the FCAF. |

Compile all the necessary data and information. |

| Submit a copy of a completed and signed FCAF, along with the
above necessary data and information to the DOS at the same time as the
federal application is filed with the federal
agency. |
||
The
DOS can begin its consistency review of the proposed project once all of the necessary data and information is received. After reviewing the submitted material, the DOS will notify the applicant if any additional
information is required to complete its consistency review for the
proposed project. |

| DOS will notify the applicant and the federal agency once a decision has been made regarding the consistency of the proposed project with the New York State Coastal Management Program. | ||
