New York State Department of State New York State Coastal Management Program Atlantic Ocean Amendment
The New York State Department of State (DOS) is amending its New York State Coastal Management Program (CMP) under the authority of the federal Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972. The first phase of the amendment process will focus on developing an Atlantic Ocean Amendment to the NYS CMP. The Atlantic Ocean Amendment to the New York State CMP will include revised siting criteria for locating offshore wind facilities and the identification of critical ocean habitats in need of greater protection.
