Long Island South Shore Estuary Reserve (SSER) Office now located in the State Office Building in Hauppauge NY

On August 8, 2011 the SSER Office moved from its location in Freeport, NY to the State Office Building in Hauppauge, NY.  The SSER Office now resides in the NYS Department of State office space.

The SSER Office works in partnership with the South Estuary Reserve Council (SSERC) and other key estuary stakeholders to advance implementation of priority actions recommended in the SSER’s Comprehensive Management Plan (CMP) adopted in 2001.  SSER Office staff provide administrative and technical support to the SSERC, as well managing projects and programs to protect and preserve the estuary. The SSERC and the SSER Office receive technical and financial assistance through the NYS Department of State, Division of Coastal Resources.
