The Division of Consumer Protection provides live educational outreach presentations which focus on identity theft prevention and mitigation; avoiding the latest scams; choosing and using credit wisely; and, product safety.

Our Consumer Assistance Unit takes consumer complaints 24 hours a day via our consumer complaint form. If you would like to speak to a trained consumer advisor, please call our hotline at 1-800-697-1220, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Our Utility Intervention Unit actively participates in proceedings concerning the availability, pricing and quality of electricity and natural gas service in the state.
