Iraqi Government officials from the federal, state and local level visited with Committee staff, on a tour sponsored by the US Department of State, hosted by the International Center of the Capital Region. Included, but not all pictured, were Mr. Kamel Mahdi Saleem Al Badr, Transparency Advisor to the Basrah Governor's Office; Dr. Ihsan Jaafar Ahmed Al-Khayyat, Director General, Medical Operations Department, Iraq Ministry of Health; Mr. Yasir Mohammed Fadhil, Director, Department of Public Relations, Amanat Baghdad; Mr. Salam Mohammad Islam, Director General, Department of Coordination and Follow up, Council of Ministers; Mr. Omer Ibrahim Karnik, Secretary, Iraqi Council of Representatives, Office of the Speaker; Mr. Aws Ayad Abrahem Mahmood Agha, Secretary, Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq; Maj. Hasan Abdullah Saeed, Coordinator, Training, Planning and Follow Up, Passport Offices of Kurdistan.
Assistant Director, Camille Jobin-Davis met with Judge Ehounou Kan Laurent Manlan, President of the Properties Chamber, Abidjan Judicial Court, Cote d’Ivoire. Judge Manlan is also the President and Founding Member of Transparency Justice, and was in Albany as a guest of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US State Department, being honored for his excellence in citizen diplomacy and demonstrated leadership in his community. Judge Manlan was selected for this initiative based on his development of a national anti-corruption campaign as a direct result of his previous IVLP experience.

Here as guests of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, US Department of State, through the International Center of the Capital Region, the participants were visiting American cities to examine and gain greater understanding of accountability in government and business.
