Designed for code enforcement and fire inspection personnel. A Building Safety Inspector is a person who performs fire safety and property maintenance inspections on existing buildings. Building Safety inspector enforcement activities include fire safety and/or property maintenance inspections of existing buildings and structures.
To receive certification, the applicant must attend the Building Safety Inspector program and pass an examination at the conclusion, OR
The applicant must attend all 3 of the following courses and pass an examination at the conclusion of each.
Designed for code enforcement personnel employed by local and county governments.
Required for personnel commencing employment after January 1, 1985.
Requires 24 hours of in-service training annually to maintain certification.
To receive certification, the applicant must attend all 6 of the following courses and pass an examination at the conclusion of each.
