Licensing Exam Update:

The Cosmetology Practical Exams scheduled for Monday, November 5, 2012 in Bellport, Westbury and Yonkers have been cancelled. These exams have been rescheduled and a notification of the new exam date has been mailed out.

WEATHER ALERT: The Division of Licensing Services has cancelled the following
Licensing Services examinations for the week of October 29th.

All written exams on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at our NYC, Franklin Square and Hauppauge exam sites. Those that were scheduled to take the Real Estate Salesperson exam on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the NYC, Franklin Square or Hauppauge exam sites will be notified and rescheduled as soon as possible. Those that were scheduled to take Cosmetology and Waxing Foreign exams on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the NYC exam site will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

All written exams on Monday and Tuesday at our Newburgh exam site. Those that were scheduled to take the Real Estate Salesperson exam on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Newburgh exam site have been rescheduled and sent an email notification.

The Nail Specialty practical exam in Queens and the Esthetics practical exam in Albany on Tuesday. Those that were scheduled to take one of these practical exams will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

The Esthetics practical examinations in Levittown and Manhattan and the Cosmetology practical examination in Manhattan on Friday. Those that were scheduled to take one of these practical exams will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  Although we are hopeful that our written exam sites will be reopen by next week, please keep in mind that it is possible that the lingering effects of the storm could result in further cancellations. Please monitor our website at www.dos.ny.gov for updates.
