Below are states that share real estate appraiser reciprocity with New York State.

The Department of State and the states listed below have agreed to accept without examination and further qualification, license/certification holders from each other's state. Appraisers must contact each state in which they wish to be licensed or certified to obtain that particular state's application forms and filing requirements. In some cases, equivalent classifications may have different titles.

Note: A certified general appraiser from a state whose appraisal program has been approved by the Federal Appraisal Subcommittee for general certification and who is in good standing, may apply to New York State for a general certification.
