2015 Appraiser Qualification Changes

The Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) of The Appraisal Foundation adopted changes to the Real Property Appraiser Qualification Criteria that will become effective January 1, 2015. More information is available below:

Application Submission Deadlines - In accordance with the revised AQB Criteria, education, experience and exam requirements MUST be successfully completed and approved prior to December 31, 2014 to qualify for an appraiser License/Certification or an applicant will be required to meet the new 2015 criteria. Accordingly, all appraiser applications and experience logs must be received by our office by December 19, 2014 to allow time for applicants to receive their exam admission notice and successfully complete the exam. PLEASE NOTE: Due to potential exam center spacing limitations, the Division of Licensing CANNOT guarantee that an exam seat will be available for you at a date and time of your choice. It is important that you submit your application as soon as you meet the criteria to provide you with the necessary time to pass the exam prior to December 31, 2014.
