New York Board of Real Estate Appraisal to Hold Public
Meeting on Licensing of Real Estate Appraisers
Mandatory Licensing of Appraisers and Licensing of
Appraisal Management Companies will be Discussed
ALBANY - The New York Board of Real Estate Appraisal will hold a public meeting on Friday, September 23 to discuss a range of issues relating to the rules and regulations of the discipline. Agenda items include mandatory licensing, licensing of appraisal management companies, and the adoption of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice 2012-2013.
The Board of Real Estate Appraisal assists the Department of State in adopting rules and regulations. The Board is convening at the conclusion of a bi-annual audit conducted by the federal Appraisal Subcommittee to ensure compliance with federal regulations. The Board meeting is open to the general public.
