Appearance Enhancement Advisory Committee to Meet on May 14
Committee will discuss updating the esthetics curriculum
ALBANY - The New York Department of State will hold a public meeting on Monday, May 14, at 10:30 a.m. regarding the appearance enhancement profession, which includes licensing for nail specialty, cosmetology, waxing, natural hair styling and esthetics. The meeting will take place using videoconferencing at the following locations: One Commerce Plaza, Conference room 505, in Albany, NY; and 123 William Street, 19th floor conference room, in New York City. The public has the right to attend the meeting at either location.
The Advisory Committee is convening to discuss updates to the esthetics curriculum. They also plan to discuss the creation of more detailed regulations for the waxing curriculum. A copy of the meeting agenda can be found on the Department’s website.
