Albany – On Tuesday, May 1st at 10:30AM, Secretary Cesar A. Perales will be joined by Florence Ohle, Executive Director of Community Action of Greene County Inc. (CAGC) other not-for-profit service providers and community partners from the Capital Region to announce the kickoff of National Community Action Month. Community Action Month is a national celebration highlighting the role of Community Action Agencies in helping low-income families achieve economic security through a variety of programs such as Head Start, job training and placement, financial education and housing.
In 2011, CAGC was a recipient of the Department of State’s CSBG Workforce Development Grant Award, a competitive grant program awarded to organizations that provide underserved communities with a variety of employment related services including workforce development and job training.
