Director of Community Services Jeannie Chaffin Commemorate National Community Action Month
with visit to Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk

Long Island – On Monday, May 21st at 11:00AM, Secretary Cesar A. Perales will be joined by HHS Director of Community Services Jeannie Chaffin and Executive Director of Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk Adrian Fassett to commemorate Community Action Month, a national celebration to commend and highlight the role of Community Action Agencies in helping low-income families and communities achieve economic security.

In 2011, EOC of Suffolk was a recipient of the Department of State’s CSBG Workforce Development Grant Award, a competitive grant program awarded to CAA’s who provide underserved communities with a variety of services including community revitalization, workforce development and job training.
