Secretary of State Cesar A. Perales and U.S. Health and Human Services
Director of Community Services Jeannie Chaffin Commemorate National Community Action Month with visit to
Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow.

New York City– On Monday, May 21st at 1:30 PM, Secretary Cesar A. Perales will be joined by HHS Director of Community Services Jeannie Chaffin and Executive Director of Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow Randolph Peers to commemorate National Community Action Month, a national celebration to commend and highlight the role of Community Action Agencies in helping low-income families and communities achieve economic security.

In 2011, OBT was the recipient of the Department of State’s CSBG Workforce Development Grant Award, a competitive grant program awarded to CAA’s who provide underserved communities with a variety of employment related services including workforce development and job training.
