New York Secretary of State Cesar A. Perales was honored by 100 Hispanic Women, Inc. at their 16th Anniversary Gala Dinner this past June 26th for his commitment and service to the Latino community in New York State and beyond. Perales received the Latino Leadership Excellence Award from Milagros Baez O’Toole, the President of 100 Hispanic Women and the event brought together key partners in the Latino Community to help sustain the programs that are making a huge impact and difference in the lives of Latinas.
“I am honored and humbled to be chosen by 100 Hispanic Women for this tremendous award,” stated Perales. “This organization has been at the forefront of promoting issues that are central to the Latina community and they have made a positive impact on the social and economic issues facing their constituents.”
100 Hispanic Women, Inc. Is a forum for Latinas, individuals and organizations who support Hispanas, to address issues affecting our communities, influence public policy affecting Latinas and their families, and to promote diversity. Their mission is to inspire Latinas to maximize their potential, in order to become equal partners in an empowered world of equal opportunity with equal justice, recognition, respect and dignity.
Also honored alongside Perales at the Gala were Yvette Donado, Senior Vice President, Education Testing Service, Victor Manuelle, the Latin Grammy nominated Puerto-Rican American singer and songwriter and the renowned Nelson Gonzalez Orchestra.
