New York Department of State Holds a Meeting of the
Hearing Aid Dispensing Advisory Board
Board Convening to Discuss Internet Sale of Hearing Aids and Allowing Out of State Experience
ALBANY - The New York Department of State will hold a public meeting of the Hearing Aid Dispensing Advisory Board on Wednesday, January 23rd at 10:30 a.m.at the Department of State, 99 Washington Avenue in Albany and 65 Court Street in Buffalo. The meeting will be held via videoconferencing.
The Department’s Hearing Aid Dispensing Advisory Board will convene to discuss the internet sale of hearing aids and explore the possibility of allowing the licensure of professionals who already have licenses in other states to help meet demand. The Department of State’s Division of Licensing Services issues licenses to persons who dispense hearing aids, and the Hearing Aid Dispensing Advisory Board advises the Department of State on adoption of rules and regulations relating to this discipline.
