The Watershed Agreement designated the New York Department of State to serve as a "One Stop Shop" for regulatory information in the West-of-Hudson Watershed "to assist the regulated community in identifying governmental permits required to implement a regulated activity in the Watershed." Additionally, Watershed staff, in partnership with the Catskill Watershed Corporation, operates a toll-free information line for business assistance in the region. Watershed staff provides assistance to the 50 West-of-Hudson Watershed municipalities in the areas of land use planning, related funding sources, and project implementation. Certain land use training programs are also offered.
