Administrative hearings have resumed in New York City, Buffalo and Albany at specific appointment times only and with strict safety protocols. he mission of the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) is to conduct fair, impartial hearings for the professions and occupations regulated by the New York Department of State.  The OAH is mandated by law to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public, and to safeguard the due process rights of current licensees and applicants for licensure.

Administrative Law Judges (ALJs) preside over administrative hearings for, among others, real estate brokers, appraisers, notaries public, appearance enhancement professionals, security guards and private investigators.

Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, except holidays
