The Brownfield Opportunity Areas (BOA) Program provides grants and technical support to help municipalities and community organizations complete and implement revitalization strategies for their communities. BOA-funded projects may be reimbursed for up to 90 percent of the total eligible project costs. Our goal is to work in partnership with local communities and organizations to develop and realize a community vision for redevelopment and revitalization.
The 2016-2017 Brownfield Opportunity Area Request for Applications is now open. This funding opportunity is limited to proposed brownfield opportunity areas for which a pre-Nomination or a partial Nomination was completed under a previous BOA grant. The RFA and related materials can be viewed at http://www.dos.ny.gov/funding/Applications are due 4PM March 1st, 2017 and must be submitted through the Consolidated Funding Application.
