Secretary of State Cesar A. Perales and Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner to Announce Completion of Brownfield Redevelopment Plans for the South Salina Gateway and Erie Boulevard East Neighborhood

Syracuse, NY – On Wednesday July 18th at 10:00AM, Secretary of State Cesar A. Perales will be joined by Syracuse Mayor, Stephanie Miner and local officials to announce the completion of Brownfield Redevelopment Plans for the areas of South Salina and Erie Boulevard East.

The Department of State awarded the City of Syracuse a Brownfield Opportunity Area grant to complete redevelopment plans for South Salina Street Gateway and the Erie East Neighborhood. Syracuse started the planning work funded by the DOS BOA grant in 2007. The Completion of the Brownfield Nomination Plan will give way to implementation of an economic and environmental revitalization strategy for these underdeveloped areas.
