to Host Public Engagement Meeting
FORT PLAIN, NY (March 24, 2014) Representatives of the community are invited to participate in the planning of Montgomery County’s future. New York State has invited communities hardest hit by recent storms to prepare New York Rising Community Reconstruction Plans and implement identified projects that will “build back better.” Funds are available for recovery and resiliency projects directly related to damage from 2013 storms.
A Public Engagement Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 6:00-8:00pm at Fort Plain Junior/Senior High School, 1 West Avenue (entrance off of Clyde St.), Fort Plain, NY 13339 to review projects needed to continue recovery from the severe summer storms of 2013 to be funded with up to $3 million of allocated NYS capital funds slated for Montgomery County.
Representatives of the Department of State, along with members of the project Planning Committee and local elected officials, will be on hand to discuss the program, schedule, components, and expected outcomes to the public.
