New York Department of State’s Division of Licensing Services
to Hold Public Meetings to Consider Need to Adopt a Cease and Desist Zone
for Communities in Bronx and Queens Counties
The New York Department of State’s Division of Licensing Services will hold public meeting in both the Bronx and Queens to consider the need to adopt Cease and Desist Zones for these communities. The first meeting will occur on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.at Public School 14, 3041 Bruckner Boulevard, in the Bronx. The meeting in Queens will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Bayside High School, 3224 Corporal Kennedy Street, in Bayside, Queens. The public is welcome to attend these meetings.
If a zone is established, owners of residential property in the affected areas will be eligible to add their information to a cease and desist list which will be maintained by the Department of State. Real estate brokers and salespeople will be prohibited from soliciting listings from those registered on the cease and desist list.
